A lifelong learner, Laura is a graduate of both Harvard Divinity School and University of British Columbia iSchool, now utilizing those skills as the Cartographic Metadata Librarian at the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford University. In the past, she worked for Religions and the Practice of Peace, an organization that works to use Harvard University’s cross-disciplinary expertise, religiously and culturally diverse community, and global reach to make major contributions to fostering sustainable peace in our world. She has a love of history, the written word, and the natural world in all its glory. For her, photography is both a means to experience the world and, often, come to terms with its mysteries and complexities. She is constantly looking for the moments others overlook, hoping to capture their beauty, mystery, or simplicity. She is most certainly still an amateur, so any constructive criticism will always be much appreciated. Feel free to contact her with whatever questions you might have.
